Most of these shots are taken with a very wide-angle lens, which may throw off the sense of scale. In particular, the monitor is a (very large) 30" display -- like a medium-large TV -- and the bed is a double, twice as big as a standard dorm bed. The room as a whole is about 375 sq ft.
